Turning Time

Heavy, industrial machine gears are secured to a panel of 100+ year old Vermont barn wood in an asymmetrical pattern, broken up by a rough hewn, antique wooden frame and steel. Materials for this piece were purchased and collected over years of travel and exploration along the East Coast from Nova Scotia down to North Carolina, and it represents how disparate elements of experience and time can suddenly blend together in a cohesive way to create a succinct narrative. All the patinas shown have occurred naturally through age and have not been altered.

37" long x 9.5" wide
