River Roots

























I grew up canoeing along segments of The Charles River which snakes 80 miles through Eastern Massachusetts. On one early autumn paddle a couple years ago I discovered this nest-like roots system along the banks near South Natick--a treasured relic from one of the most beautiful spots on the river.
